As we stand at the crossroads of a new era in higher education, the role of the UNIMAS Leadership Centre (ULC) becomes ever more vital in responding to the aspirations outlined by the Minister of Higher Education, the vision set forth by our esteemed Vice Chancellor, and the ambitious goals embedded in the UNIMAS Strategic Plan 2021-2025.

Our mission at ULC is clear: to cultivate unwavering leadership competencies and to develop talent that will thrive in the complexities of an ever-evolving global landscape.

The UNIMAS Strategic Plan 2021-2025 calls upon us to amplify our contributions to national development and to position UNIMAS as a beacon of excellence, where leadership and talent are continuously honed and celebrated. With the establishment of ULC, we are determined to ensure that our university remains at the forefront of leadership development, both in academia and beyond.

As Director of the Leadership Centre, my aspiration is to create a thriving “leaderful” community at UNIMAS. This is a community where each member – whether student, faculty, or staff – is encouraged to develop and demonstrate leadership that aligns with the values of integrity, innovation, and inclusivity. By cultivating these qualities, we empower individuals to navigate complex challenges, foster collaboration, and lead with purpose.
